Our Story

Charles “Chuck” Monroe III was raised in the mountains of Montana. The volatile climate and vast beauty of his surroundings cultivated a passion for adventure, challenge, and a desire for perfection.

Chuck found his love for woodworking in high school when he took a job for a custom home builder in his hometown.

Graduating high school at just 17 years old, Chuck enlisted into the United State Marine Corps. He served as a Recon Marine with two combat deployments to the Middle East.

After his time in the military, Chuck settled on the Central Coast of California where he has spent his time pursuing his passion and honing his craft of woodworking. Chuck and his wife, Jennifer, founded Valley Woodwork in 2020.

Chuck’s pride and joy are his four beautiful daughters. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
